Kim Blohm
Kim is known for implementing cutting-edge strategies and impactful campaigns that reach vast audiences. She is a hands-on leader with experience in the constantly evolving industries of retail, banking and real estate. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunication Media Studies from Texas A&M University. Kim lives in Kendall County with her husband Justin, her three children, three dogs, two cats and three goats.
Quick fact: Kim first visited Boerne in 2006 to meet her now husband's family and immediately fell in love with the town's charm. She also grew up camping and floating the Guadalupe river with her family. Things that make Kim happy would be: Aggie football, binge watching Hallmark Movies, cooking, long walks in HEB, spending quality time with her children.
Favorite place/thing to do in Boerne: Buying/taste-testing new products at Texas Gourmet Pantry, sports activities with her kids and hanging out at home enjoying the beautiful Texas Hill Country views.
Holly Rodriguez
Holly is the Senior Vice President of the Chamber, and is committed to developing unique experiences to drive exposure for members and the business community. Her professional background includes experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, event planning, graphic design, and social media management. She is a graduate of Texas State University in San Marcos with a degree in Public Relations, and joined the Chamber staff in 2018. Holly lives in Boerne with her husband, two sons and two rescue dogs.
Quick fact: Holly was born in the Washington DC area, and her family moved to Boerne in 2003. She loves the Hill Country, and wouldn’t want to call any other place her home.
Favorite place/thing to do in Boerne: Holly’s favorite things to do in Boerne (because she can’t pick just one) are enjoying our area’s beautiful parks or rivers, and exploring the fantastic shops and restaurants along the Hill Country Mile.
Melissa Hinton
As the Director of Communications, Melissa’s goal is to support our members by raising public awareness to their organizations through communicating their events and ideas to the public and other members by utilizing social media & email marketing. She has a passion for being creative, meeting with members every chance she gets, and exploring new ways to continuously enhance our Boerne Business Community. Melissa graduated from Schreiner University in May 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and joined the Chamber team in July of 2019.
Quick Fact: Melissa lived in Victoria, Texas her whole young life until moving off to Kerrville for college. She soon realized that the Hill Country was somewhere she wanted to live for the rest of her life. Melissa currently lives in Bandera with her husband, Truman and their fur-child, Harley! She was a 10 year 4-Her and has always had a huge passion for the outdoors and helping others. Melissa has been shooting shotguns competitively for more than half her life through 4-H in middle school and high school, at Schreiner University for college, and still going strong today while she has won Regional, State, National, and World championship titles from competitions over the last 16 years.
Favorite place/thing to do in Boerne: Melissa loves how beautiful Boerne and all of the surrounding Hill Country is, driving to work every morning is one of her favorite things to do as she gets to cruise Highway 46 and see just how beautiful our state is! Plus, we have some unique shops, wineries and amazing restaurants here in Boerne that she loves visiting every chance she gets.
Lynn Richter
Lynn started out as a volunteer for the Chamber in 2002 and joined the Chamber staff in 2006. She works on special projects for the Chamber and provides technology and administrative support to the President and Chamber staff.
Quick fact: Lynn loves the people she works with and the community she lives in. She is also a big fan of art and animals (she own a few of both!).
Favorite place/thing to do in Boerne: Lynn loves to dine and shop in Boerne and be able to just step outside of Boerne and enjoy the country. She's blessed it's so close and convenient.
Shelly Garroutte
Shelly relocated to Boerne from Bend, Oregon where she spent most of her years in a business development role in the financial services, mortgage, and title & escrow industries. She was very involved with the Bend Chamber of Commerce serving as an ambassador and participating in Chamber events. She credits her involvement with the Chamber as the key factor in her cultivating long-term business and personal relationships in the Bend community.
Quick Fact: Shelly was born in Northern Minnesota then moved to Alaska where she spent 10 years in Eagle River (suburb of Anchorage). She then headed to the Pacific NW and settled in Bend, Oregon, where she spent 27 years. Having spent most of her life in extreme cold weather country, she is excited to be in Boerne where she can put away the snow gear and pull out the golf clubs in December!
Favorite thing in Boerne: Shelly is a wine lover and enjoys exploring all the hill country wineries and learning about Texas wine! She also enjoys being outdoors and is having fun checking out the local parks, trails and golf courses!
Steely Lott
Steely is the Director of Marketing and Events at The Boerne Chamber, and loves working with the community in many different aspects to bring more growth and success to the members. She has experience in event planning/coordinating, social media management and marketing, public relations, and retail. Steely was born and raised in Comfort and has stayed local, graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2019 with a BA in General Business. She currently lives with her family in Comfort, where they raise goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens, and ducks! Steely joined the Chamber staff in March of 2022.
Quick fact: Steely has participated in numerous pageants throughout the years, with Miss San Antonio USA being the most recent in May 2023. She was the 2006-2007 Little Miss Kendall County and the 2012-2013 Kendall County Fair Queen!
Favorite place/thing to do in Boerne: Since she has grown up in the area, Steely can’t choose just one favorite! She enjoys shopping Main Street, grabbing brunch at one of the bakeries, and hanging out at a few of the local breweries.
Robb Weller
The Boerne Chamber of Commerce was pleased Robb Weller joined the 2021 Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Robb served as the Chairman for 2022, and is the current 2023 Chairman.
Robb has been a member of the Boerne Chamber and served on various Councils and Committees for the past decade. Robb has served as our Master of Ceremonies of our Annual Awards Gala for several years now as well as serving on the Committee. He is a Graduate of Leadership Boerne and has serviced as Chair of the Leadership Boerne Alumni Council.
With a career in banking spanning two decades, Robb has been helping businesses grow and prosper in Boerne and the Hill Country for over 15 years. His style of serving his clients mirrors that of Jefferson Bank - an involved partner focused on finding solutions that provide the greatest opportunity for success. Robb is a strong supporter and community leader of Boerne and Kendall County.
Jo Lynn Fisher, Past Chair
Jo Lynn grew up in Lancaster, Texas, as an only child born to older parents. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Abilene Christian University with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. She taught elementary and junior high students for 12 years before moving to Boerne.
Jo Lynn is the General Manager of the funeral home and also serves as a Funeral Director's Assistant. It's important to her that each family she serves feels that she is walking alongside them during one of the most tragic times of their lives. When she left teaching to join Dusty at the funeral home, she told him that the funeral home couldn't just be a business but must also be a ministry. She has co-led and sponsored local grief support groups. She has served on the United Way of Kendall County Board of Directors. She is a graduate of the Greater Boerne Area Chamber of Commerce 2010 Leadership Class. She has served on the Chamber's Leadership Council and Scholarship Committee and has also Chaired the annual Gala Awards. She was also on the Chamber's Board of Directors for six years and rejoined the Board of Directors and served as the Chair in 2021.
Sonia Aguillon, Secretary
Sonia Aguillon joined the Board of Directors with the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce in 2021 and has served/is serving on the 2022 and 2023 Executive Committee as Secretary. Sonia is the President of the GVTC Foundation and the Public Relations Manager with GVTC Communications. Sonia is a graduate of the 2021 Class of the Leadership Boerne Program.
Sonia Aguillon is Manager Public Relations at GVTC, a Telecommunication company based out of Spring Branch, Texas. Sonia also serves as President of The GVTC Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm into the community, which works to profoundly enhance the quality of life in the areas GVTC serves.
Sonia has 23 years in the telecom industry, serving in different capacities of the company and field. Her personal drive and knowledge have helped her advance through the company, excelling from a Customer Service Representative, Corporate Quality Coach/Trainer, and Supervisor Business Operations to the position she serves in today.
She has served the nonprofit sector for over 16 years, carrying out roles as Board Member, Treasurer, Vice President and now President.
Sonia is a lifetime resident of New Braunfels and works in 11 counties with most of her time in Boerne. Outside of work, Sonia is very family focused. She loves spending her free time with grandbabies and being the best Aunt ever. She enjoys traveling, sporting events, and music concerts.
Her outgoing personality allows her to meet people everywhere she goes. Her leadership skills and motivation to do more has opened opportunities for her. She enjoys the volunteer work she does with The GVTC Foundation and is always looking for ways to help others. A daily goal and one of her favorite things to do is make people smile.
Martin Dinh
Martin Dinh joined the 2022 Board of Directors. Martin manages and oversees all aspects of the day to day Ford of Boerne operations and organizes the operations for 3 additional franchise dealerships. He provides a superior product and service with timeliness and integrity.
Martin's specialties are Internet Sales, Sales development, Infrastructure development, Project management, Business management, Manager development, and overall productivity and profitability management.
Michelle Ernst
Michelle joined the 2022 Chamber Board of Directors. She is the Co-Founder and Director of 100 Women of the Hill Country. Her talents are overall business operations, marketing, and community relations. Michelle also serves on multiple community and civic organization boards including 100 Women of the Hill Country which she co-founded.
Michelle and her husband Paul are the proud parents of two beautiful children and have made Boerne their home.
Chris Franklin
Chris and his wife Brittany live and raise their daughter in Boerne. Chris has been with Vic Vaughan Toyota of Boerne since 2007. He also serves on the Board of the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation and has been a volunteer member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Chris brings mad motivational methods as well as versatility, strategic planning expertise, organizational and managerial expertise to the Chamber Board.
Brent Holmes
The Boerne Chamber of Commerce was excited to welcome Brent Holmes to the 2022 Board of Directors. Brent has been a member of the Chamber and has served on several Councils/Committees since 2001. He is a passionate REALTOR® and entrepreneur, Brent Holmes is grateful to have the opportunity to pursue real estate full time. His professional background includes commercial property investments as well as 30 years in the wireless industry, owning, growing and eventually selling his company.
Today Brent searches for opportunities to help others reach their financial goals through buying and selling real estate. He loves the thrill of the hunt and the challenge to connect buyers and sellers. Knowing any deal can change a person's or family's life is all the motivation Brent needs to work diligently for his clients. He feels truly blessed to be living in the Texas Hill Country helping others achieve their dreams.
Dr. Jennifer Johnson
Dr. Jennifer Johnson has been practicing therapeutic optometry for almost 18 years, the last 7 have been in Boerne. She recently opened her own practice, Johnson Eye Care, in September of 2017 and joined the Chamber's Board in 2018. Dr. Johnson and her husband Michael and moved to Fair Oaks Ranch with their two girls, Cate and Grace, in 2009. They will be celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary in June, 2021. Jennifer served as Secretary on the Executive Committee in 2021.
Charlie Malmberg
Charlie Malmberg is a Partner and Co-Founder of Valcor Commercial Real Estate 8 years ago and joined the Chamber's Board in 2018. He grew up in San Antonio and moved to the Boerna area in 2016 with his wife, Megan, whom he has been married to for 12 years. They have three children Kenna, Cade and Clare.
Bob Ogle
Bob has lived and worked in Boerne since 1989. He served as a Board Trustee for BISD for 6 six years and President for 1. He was a founding member of the Kendall County Bar Association and the JOCs Mens Group which served the homeless population for many years. He was the past Chairman/President of the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce in 1994. He also served on the Chamber’s Scholarship and Industry Specific Committees.
Ashlee Pfeiffer
Ashlee Pfeiffer, who currently serves as the manager of Kendall County Abstract, joined the company in 2000. A 1997 graduate of San Angelo State University, Ashlee, in addition to managing the company, is an escrow officer and handles numerous closings. Her attention to detail makes her closings run smoothly and efficiently. Her good humor and enthusiasm for life is contagious.
Ashlee says, “I love working with people and helping them accomplish their real estate purchases or sales.” Ashlee has great back up support and shares her work load with Bonnie Scott, Brooke Pollack, Allie Richter and Alana Ward.
Kelly Mattingly
Kelly Mattingly is a passionate entrepreneur, proud mom, and dedicated community advocate. Alongside her loving husband, Matthew Mattingly, Kelly owns and operates two thriving Signarama locations in San Antonio, Texas. Her journey in business is defined by resilience, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, which earned her the prestigious national Women in Wide Format Award, recognizing her leadership in the signage industry.
Since joining the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce in 2019, Kelly has been a vital supporter of local businesses. She finds great fulfillment in giving back, whether through sponsoring charitable organizations, creating impactful signage for local events, or volunteering with groups like 100 Women of the Hill Country and Boerne 100.
Above all, Kelly treasures her role as a mother to two wonderful children, balancing her professional achievements with a deep love for family and community. Her unwavering dedication to helping others and fostering meaningful connections continues to inspire those around her.
Kevin Welborn
Kevin Welborn, a native Texan and Houstonian, moved his family to Boerne and joined the team at Joshua Creek Ranch in 2014, where he now serves as Managing Director. Kevin oversees all day-to-day operations and strategic growth initiatives at Joshua Creek Ranch which has become one of the most renowned and most visited hunting lodges and sporting resorts in the world.
Prior to that, Kevin spent 22 years in corporate marketing, business development, and management roles for multiple firms that specialized in oil & gas, energy, retail, and consumer products & services. He has a marketing degree from the University of Houston and over 30 years’ professional experience.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys hunting, saltwater fishing, golfing, cooking, and hanging out with his family. Kevin’s wife Robin works for BISD, his son Austin is a Texas A&M graduate who works in the construction division of H-E-B, and his daughter Abby is a Communications major at Texas A&M.
Ron Zunker, P.E.
Ron Zunker joined the Boerne Chamber of Commerce 2022 Board of Directors and brings with him many years of business experience. He has been very active with the Chamber and has served on the Ambassador Council since 2019.
Ron’s experiences in life and business are assets to his management approach and leadership in the financial industry. Through strategic planning, he is able to provide custom solutions to his business and individual clients enabling them to reach their goals while protecting their assets.

Dr. Kristin Craft, Advisory Director
Dr. Kristin Craft was named Superintendent of Boerne ISD in December 2023 and is the first female Superintendent in the district's history. She joined the 2024 Board of Directors for the chamber.
Dr. Craft began teaching in 1995 as a 4th grade teacher at Aldine ISD. With over 28 years of experience in Texas public schools, Dr. Craft was a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. She spent 20 years serving in district leadership roles, including 12 years as a principal. Dr. Craft was a principal at every level, rising from elementary to intermediate to high school.
Before beginning her tenure at Boerne ISD, Dr. Craft served as Associate Superintendent of Academics and Chief Academic Officer in Spring Branch ISD in the Houston area, where she oversaw academic programming, student support, post-secondary outcomes, guidance counseling, responsive services, assessment, and accountability for 46 schools serving 33,536 students in grades PK-12.
Dr. Craft earned a Doctorate of Education and Master of Education in Educational Administration from Sam Houston State University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa, majoring in Spanish and minoring in TESOL.
Raised in Webster City, Iowa, Dr. Craft realizes the uniqueness of the Boerne community and the importance of maintaining the small-town feel we all love. She has been a proud Texas resident since 1995. Dr. Craft and her husband, Chris, have three children; Caitlin, Aron, and Carson.
Amy Story, Advisory Director
As President/CEO Amy will lead the BKCEDC in its mission to promote business opportunities that will strengthen and grow a vibrant and diverse economic future for Kendall County. Amy has been with the BKCEDC since September 2016.
Amy began her time at the BKCEDC focusing on marketing, communication and special projects for the BKCEDC, as well as website management. Over the past few years, Amy’s role in the organization has increased, as has her impact on project procurement, Business Retention & Expansion, Investor relations, marketing and operations.
Amy comes to the BKCEDC with a background in finance, marketing & law. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing, as well as a J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin.
Ben Thatcher, Advisory Director
Ben Thatcher began his career in public service in 2002 in North Texas. He quickly moved up in his professional career and became the Assistant City Manager in Southlake in 2007 -- a position he held before coming to Boerne. In 1995, the citizens of Boerne voted to become a Home Rule City and in 2020 Mr. Thatcher became its second City Manager. He loves a good strategy that allows players to make game-winning plays and drives the whole team to succeed. By setting and meeting goals, Ben strongly believes in the capabilities of local government to impact the quality of life of communities.
Kylee Schuette
Kylee serves as the Director of Membership for the Boerne Chamber and loves building relationships with people and businesses in the community. Kylee graduated from Texas Tech University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and a minor in General Business (Wreck ‘Em Tech!) and she joined the Boerne Chamber staff in August 2023.
Quick Fact: Kylee grew up in Boerne and is thrilled to be back in her hometown serving her community!
Favorite place/thing to do in Boerne: Kylee loves to dine and shop at the local restaurants and boutiques in town, and she loves to visit breweries and wineries with her friends!
Jim Kreuz
Jim Kreuz is the past Chief Lending Officer for Texas Heritage Bank Boerne, retiring at the end of June 2024. Jim joined the Chamber Board of Directors in 2023. Kreuz was born and raised in Midland, Texas, obtained a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas and started his banking career with Texas American Bank Midland in 1984. He moved to Boerne in 2005 to establish banks for Western National Bank, a Midland Based bank holding company. Kreuz joined Texas Heritage Bank in 2021.
Kreuz continues to own and operate his small oil & gas company, Kreuz Exploration & Production, Inc., founded in 1990. At one time KEPI operated over 250 wells in the Permian Basin of West Texas. Today the company owns a small portfolio of royalties and non-operated working interests in West Texas.
Jim is married to Tanya, a CPA for 40 years, has two grown daughters and two grandchildren. Jim and Tanya attend St. Helena’s Episcopal Church in Boerne. Jim enjoys flyfishing, hunting, and along with Tanya working their small farm near Junction, Texas.
Jonathan Collins
Jonathan, a native of San Antonio, holds a degree in Finance and a Master of Real Estate through Texas A&M’s Mays Business School. Jonathan leads the project leasing and tenant representation activities at Valcor. He is also responsible for deal sourcing, investment sales, and new business pursuits. Prior to founding Valcor Commercial Real Estate, Jonathan worked for Stream Realty Partners where he actively leased a portfolio of more than 2.5 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail assets.
Jonathan is a CCIM, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, a board member for SA Hope Center, an Executive Board Member for Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation, a member of The Bridge Fellowship Church, a member of C12 Dominion Group, and was a San Antonio Officer for the Aggie Real Estate Network. Jonathan has received the CoStar Power Broker Award for “Top Leasing Broker” in the San Antonio Market seven times. He was announced as a “Heavy Hitter in Commercial Real Estate” by the San Antonio Business Journal and named in the 2017 Class of Top 40 Under 40 for the San Antonio market.
Jonathan enjoys playing golf, hunting, volunteering at his church, and spending time with his wife Genevieve and three children Gray, Landon, and Emma Kate. Jonathan joined the 2024 Board of Directors.
Bill Waechter
William “Bill” Waechter, has served as President of North Central Baptist Hospital since 2010. He has led that hospital through a recent, significant expansion program and the (near) future development of the Baptist Orthopedic Institute.
North Central is home to the Baptist Regional Children’s Center, which includes a Children’s Emergency Center, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and medical and surgical services and pediatric subspecialties. North Central also is a key provider of adult services like cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, cancer, and women’s and infants services, a level III-B NICU as well as neonatal, maternal and pediatric transport services.
Bill previously served as chief operating officer at Northeast Baptist Hospital. He excelled in a number of leadership positions at Northeast, and in regional departments. He was responsible for developing “Heart Alert”, San Antonio’s first organized approach to treating patients with a STEMI. Bill joined the Baptist Health System in 1994 as a flight paramedic and then held leadership positions for San Antonio AirLIFE, the air medical transport service now owned jointly by Baptist Health System and University Health System.
Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in speech and communication from Texas A&M University, obtained his paramedic license from the Texas A&M School of Medicine. He earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Ashford University. He is a graduate of Leadership San Antonio Class 32, and has served on the boards of a number of trauma and health-related associations and councils. He has been a board member of San Antonio AirLIFE and South Texas Regional Advisory Council.
