Bandera Electric Cooperative’s Technology Campus Grand Opening

We were so honored to celebrate Bandera Electric Cooperative's Technology Campus Grand Opening yesterday with a special ribbon cutting ceremony!

Founded in 1938, Bandera Electric Cooperative provides electric service to over 40,000 meters throughout its 2,140 square mile service area in the Texas Hill Country. Consistent with its vision of “Reimagining Rural America,” BEC began deploying fiber optic infrastructure in 2017 and now serves 12,000 subscribers with state-of-the-art high speed internet service. BEC recently completed construction of a new Network Operations Center (NOC) a few miles northwest of Boerne on FM 289. This facility serves as the central hub for BEC’s fiber internet division, network monitoring activities, and disaster recovery strategy for electric operations. Furthermore, this NOC positions BEC to continue to serve its members with reliable internet and electric services as the greater Boerne area continues to grow.
