Scholarships

Ambassador Committee

Purpose:
This committee is made up of over 40 business professionals who assist the Chamber with membership engagement and serve in the capacity of an official host for the Chamber by attending Chamber events. They welcome guests at all chamber functions and take the lead at all chamber ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and open houses. While being an asset to other businesses helping them to engage in the community and grow their network, Ambassadors also develop strong business networks for their own businesses.

  • Scheduled Monthly Meetings:
    Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 12 pm in the Boerne Chamber of Commerce conference room.

    Purpose/Description:
    This is a group of members in real estate and construction related industries. The Chamber seeks to provide education and networking opportunities for this group of professionals.

    Purpose:
    This group fosters business relationships within the healthcare field through regular meetings for the purpose of improving patient care. Members educate the group about their unique skills, products, and services, as well as actively referring patients to each other to support community partnerships in healthcare.

    This group is made up of local nonprofit leaders and Chamber Staff liaisons. The purpose is to support the unique interests of our 145 local nonprofit members, which play a vital role in building healthy communities. Nonprofit leaders are the voice of the people they serve, providing critical services that contribute to economic stability and mobility of our community.

    3rd Friday of every month

    The mission of this group is to foster business and professional development relationships through regular meetings for the purpose of creating a parent-friendly community that supports and engages the value of that demographic. Members educate the group about their unique products and services while actively referring clients to each other.

    Purpose/Description:
    The Chamber offers 4 scholarships awarded to local high school student applicants to be used towards college. The John P. Ebner Scholarship, Aubrey E. “Sandy” Sanderson and Laurie Bushong Lang Scholarships are all funded through the Annual Awards Gala, Annual Golf Tournament, and the Boerne Air Conditioning & Heating Trade Scholarship is funded by Boerne Air Conditioning & Heating. The Chamber’s Scholarship Committee manages the logistics of the application process, the review, selection of the annual recipients, and the presentation and promotion of the scholarship money.
