Melissa Barringer

As the Director of Communications, Melissa’s goal is to support our members by raising public awareness to their organizations through communicating their events and ideas to the public and other members by utilizing social media & email marketing. She has a passion for being creative, meeting with members every chance she gets, and exploring new ways to continuously enhance our Boerne Business Community. Melissa graduated from Schreiner University in May 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and joined the Chamber team in July of 2019.

Quick Fact: Melissa lived in Victoria, Texas her whole life until moving off to Kerrville for college. She soon realized that the Hill Country was somewhere she wanted to live for the rest of her life. Shortly after graduating college, she moved to northern San Antonio with her identical twin sister. She was a 10 year 4-Her and has always had a huge passion for the outdoors and helping others. Melissa has been shooting shotguns competitively for more than half her life through 4-H in middle school and high school, at Schreiner University for college, and still going strong today while she has won Regional, State, National, and World championship titles from competitions over the last 13 years.

Favorite place/thing to do in Boerne: Melissa loves how beautiful Boerne and all of the surrounding Hill Country is, driving to work every morning is one of her favorite things to do as she gets to cruise Highway 46 and see just how beautiful our state is! Plus, we have some unique shops, wineries and amazing restaurants here in Boerne that she loves visiting every chance she gets.
