Boerne Adventure Fest

 Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 7th, for Boerne Adventure Fest! Boerne Adventure Fest is about discovering new ways to have fun outdoors with lots of fun activities. There will be fishing, a child and adult team fishing tournament, archery, horseback riding, rock wall climbing, mountain biking, a bungee trampoline jump, paintball, kayaking, canoeing,  adventure and outdoor exhibitors and food and drink booths. There will be Bird of Prey demonstrations by Last Chance Forever, and South Texas Herpetology are bringing live snakes and lizards, unusual critters. There will be activities for kids such as a giant purple dragon bouncer, and much more.

There will be remote control airplane shows by San Antonio Prop Busters and the Boerne Area Model Society, as well as some remote control cars and trucks by Full Throttle Hobbies.

On the kids stage is Creative Storytime with the Boerne Public Libary, "Zoology ROCKS" with award winning songwriter Lucas Miller, and MAD Science,

the world’s leading science enrichment providers will be doing “Miracles of Motion” with hands-on science experiences for children that are as entertaining as they are educational.

Boerne Adventure Fest is also part music festival with live entertainment all day. Start the day off with San Marcos' Foscoe Jones and the Distractions folk rock, funk and acoustics. Then Austin's Marc Utter and the Blackland's folk rock, flamenco and Afro beat. End the day with headliners Boerne's own Peacefield, alternative rock with a conscience. Come relax in the shade and listen to some great performances.

 

Boerne Adventure Fest takes place on Saturday, June 7th, from 10 to 6, at Joshua Springs Park and Preserve. Approximately 10 minutes from downtown Boerne, the Park is located north of Boerne on IH 10, exit #533 and continue about 2 miles.  After going under the bridge Adventure Fest will be on the right.
