It is NEVER too early to talk GOLF!
Chamber’s Golf Tournament scheduled for September 25 at
The Buckhorn Golf Club
Nestled in the rolling hillside near Comfort, The Buckhorn’s championship layout is poised to take perfect advantage of the hill country’s natural elements: elevation changes, clear water creeks, lush stands of live oak, and a view for miles. This is where the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce will hold the 2008 Aubrey E. “Sandy” Sanderson Golf Tournament on September 25. This event is a fund raiser for the scholarship fund named after one of Boerne’s great volunteer icons, the late Aubrey E. Sanderson.
Mike Schultz, Director of Business Development with The Trust Company, agreed to serve as Tournament Chair and his enthusiasm is contagious. He and his committee have made substantive positive changes to the event during the early planning stages. Some of those changes include giving out two scholarships per year instead of one and adding a free mixer Par-tee immediately following the tournament at 5:30 p.m. open to all Chamber members that will include a sumptuous buffet courtesy of Diaz Vision Center. This mixer party will include a live and silent auction to maximize the scholarship fund for the year.
If you have something you’d like to donate to either the auctions or to the golf goodie bags, please contact Mike Schultz or a member of his committee. They’d love to hear from you!
Other committee members include Tiffany Boerner with Kendall County Abstract, John Archer with Huser Construction Co., Matt Diana with Covenant Services, Larry Holder with Financial Process Group, Kenne Woods with Wise Counsel Network, Daniel Perez with SHW Group, Greg Hatch with Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club, Curtis Foster, the pro at The Buckhorn Golf Course, Jess Hawkins with Tapitio Springs Resort & Conference Center, and Kerry Phillip and Paula White both representing the Chamber Staff and Board.
