A Rising Tide Lifts All the Boats
The Chamber is taking applications for Leadership Boerne Class of 2009. In September you can take the step to join 24 other Boerne professionals by taking part in this award-winning Leadership program. You will join together as strangers, or maybe as acquaintances, each with a common goal: to find the leader within. You will come to the program with the desire to serve Boerne, both by volunteering and as a leader.
Leadership is about knowing first, then doing and directing. Just ask Emily Swope, a graduate of the inaugural Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Boerne Class of 2000.
Emily encourages all her employees to attend Leadership Boerne and her Coldwell Banker-Swope Realtors is always a business sponsor of the program. Her strong belief in the Leadership program may well stem from her own mentor, a Boerne business icon who taught her that she would find her success in her relationships with people. As a leader and role model, Emily Swope has graciously slipped into the role of icon herself, inspiring countless businessmen and women, even her competitors, to reach for the stars. Quoting a proverb, Emily believes “a rising tide lifts all the boats.”
